The Dhow’s Blossom is a group retail design project created by Ayat Malahiyah, Reem Al Mohannadi, Moza Al Marri, and Fatima Al Haddad. Designed for Liberty London in Msheireb, Doha, the project explores the intersection of British heritage and Qatari culture, creating a retail space that blends tradition, storytelling, and contemporary design.
The Dhow's Blossom

Concept
The concept is inspired by the journey of trade—beginning with traditional dhow boats, moving through the Silk Road, and returning with textiles and goods. This narrative translates into a spatial experience that reflects movement, exchange, and cultural connection.

Traders Take the Dhow boat to start their Journey
Traders take the silk road commonly used for trading all across the world
Traders return with fabrics, goods, and cultural influences gathered through their journey.
These textiles are brought into the local market, where they are displayed, exchanged, and sold.
